Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve Adam and I went to a dinner that was held at the community center in our compound.  By that time, Shane had caught my cold and was feeling really lousy, so getting Adam and I out of his hair sounded good to him.  I didn't feel my best, but I knew he would have fun since they were having Santa and a sleigh ride.  I was right...he did have fun!  He was scared to sit on Santa's lap, but that wasn't anything new.  He wouldn't do it last year, either. The only way to get a picture was for me to hold him.

The horse needed a helper :-)

Nothing better on Christmas Eve - getting to ride on a one-horse open sleigh through the snow!

Hi Amanda, Merry Christmas(belated) and Happy New Year 2009! See you sometime at school(my son, Max is 4years plus too, born 2004). My family and I are scheduled to fly to Sakh on 29/1. Am feeling nervous...wish us all the best! My husband is already there in Sakh...coming back for us this Sat :). Btw, he's with Shell.

Thanks, Evie! We look forward to meeting you! Max and Adam will more than likely be in the same class! Adam just turned 4 in Nov. Good luck with the move, you will be fine here...Shell has a nice compound and facility and there are tons of people here willing to help a newbie...myself included! Happy New Year!

I have to say, it's great what ENL put on for the kids there at Olympia. The young kids who grow up on the compound have a life which most would envy back home.
